Mebane Arts & Community Center: Free Hands Only CPR Class for Seniors & Veterans
Today we partnered with Mebane Recreation and Parks Department to host a Hands-Only CPR class at the Mebane Arts & Community Center specifically for veterans and seniors. This class focused on helping our community feel more confident responding to emergency situations—and we’re so grateful for everyone who joined us.
It’s one of our first community events here in Mebane, NC for Beyond The Sirens, and we’re thankful for the warm welcome. This class was held in memory of Joel Bruce Snellgrove Jr., and we’re proud to honor him through this work.

What an incredible class with The Center at The Center of Anna Maria Island!
We had an absolute blast with this fun, energetic group! The day was packed with engaging scenarios, friendly competitions, and even a scavenger-style challenge where students navigated the center to locate AEDs.
Everyone brought their best energy and focus, and the feedback we received was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better group — now they’re equipped and ready to be camp counselors with real-life skills that matter.
