Class Description:
The AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is designed for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. This course focuses on pediatric assessment, recognition and treatment of respiratory and cardiac emergencies, effective team dynamics, and evidence-based interventions for critically ill or injured children.
In this interactive, hands-on training, students will learn how to:
Recognize and manage pediatric respiratory and cardiac arrest
Assess and treat shock, respiratory distress, and other life-threatening conditions
Interpret pediatric ECG rhythms and manage arrhythmias
Apply advanced airway management and emergency medication administration
Lead or participate in high-performance pediatric resuscitation teams
Use effective communication and leadership skills during pediatric emergencies
